CTQ Level 3 Award in Teaching and Assessing First Aid Qualifications

The CTQ Level 3 Award in Teaching and Assessing First Aid Qualifications is designed for individuals looking to deliver and assess regulated first aid training. It is particularly suited to those seeking approval from Ofqual-recognised Awarding Organisations to teach first aid qualifications in professional settings.

Ideal for learners aged 19 and over who hold a valid First Aid at Work certificate, this qualification equips individuals with the knowledge and skills required to confidently train and assess learners in a range of first aid scenarios.

This 60-hour qualification focuses specifically on the delivery and assessment of first aid training, rather than broader teaching skills. Learners will explore key areas such as trainer and assessor responsibilities, effective delivery methods, and how to assess learners competently. Content also covers freelance trainer obligations to approved centres and awarding bodies.

Aligned with National Occupational Standards 6, 7, and 9 for Learning and Development, Resuscitation Council guidance, and Health and Safety Executive (HSE) requirements, this qualification provides the essential foundation for a successful role in the first aid education sector.
